This platform seems to use blogs in a similar way to Ning - I am not fullly convinced it is the best solution for us. But, am waiting for your input as a group. I see a few of you have re-initialized your membership here which means that part must have worked. I have not seen anyone at the other trial location:

I am so frustrated with Ning for deciding to charge - I can understand, but it certainly put a "fly in my ointment" as I am at the limit of paid platforms right now.

I believe we will get this worked out and be able to go the best direction for our collaboration - even if it takes a few weeks to really get settled.

Thanks for trying this alternative, Sharon, and please keep the rest of us up to date. I administer another Ning educational network, and I'm looking for alternatives as well. We'll see.

You are welcome - I actually liked my BuddyPress site better - but it didn't send the invites - and then after a week this site did. So, all my "old" members got invited here and none there. So, I added some content here and am seeing how it goes. Overall it seems to be fine. I need to do some more "tweaking" with the look if it becomes permanent. I think we only have about 3 or 4 members actually active at this point - but I will send another note to Ning later this week before taking it off line.

Great question - First let me say, I am sorry that you wish to leave us though. If you reconsider, please come on back anytime. Next, I will see if I can discover how members can remove their own membership. If I can't find anything - I will see if I can remove your name. Still learning about grou.ps - and not certain I am convinced it is what I want to continue with.

Found it - when logged in, go to My Account at the top right and you can manage all your grou.ps
Again, hope you consider returning to our conversations as we expand.
